About Our Church

Rooted in faith, serving with love, and united as one family in Christ.

St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Church, Lucan, Dublin started in the year 2010 and is today a fast proliferating parish in Ireland. All are welcome to join us to lift up the glorious name of the Lord and to bear witness to Christ in the land of the living.

This parish is affiliated with the Diocese of UK-Europe-Africa of the Indian Orthodox Church, also known as the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, under the Holy See of H.H. Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, the Catholicose of the East and Malankara Metropolitan, seated on the apostolic throne of St. Thomas in India. We are guided and blessed by our diocesan bishop H.G. Abraham Mar Stephanos Metropolitan.

Our parish upholds the Orthodox Christian ethos and values, serving the spiritual needs of the Indian Orthodox community living in and around Dublin. We work towards the goal of achieving holistic development for all humanity through cultural, charitable, educational, and ecumenical activities.

Today, the parish has a vibrant community of 120 active families. Many pioneering leaders of the Indian Christian community in Ireland are part of our parish. We currently gather for worship and fellowship at the Lucan Presbyterian Church, Lucan Village, County Dublin, located just 20 km from Dublin International Airport.

All are welcome to join us in faith and fellowship, to glorify the Lord, and to be witnesses to Christ in the land of the living.
